Sporting Hasbeens Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame induction is the highlight of the annual Sporting Hasbeens Christmas Charity Lunch and Sporting Memorabilia Auction. Each year, the Committee nominate a Queensland sporting icon to be inducted into this unique sporting academy.

When reviewing nominations, the Committee looks beyond "personalities" to individuals whose contribution to their sport helped define its character and values and whose on and off field contributions will forever be heralded as "special".

Our treasured Sporting Hasbeens Hall of Fame inductees -  The special stories from the late Bob Templeton, Carl "Mocka" Rackemann, Trevor "The Axe" Gillmeister, Mel "The Shoe" Schumaker, Hayden "Iron Man" Kenny and the immortal golfing yarns of the great Norman von Nida, the Walters Brothers, Duncan Armstrong, Marcus Ashcroft, Ben Tune, Trevor Hohns, Andrew Slack, "The King" Wally Lewis & Heals – are recalled fondly by past Hasbeens attendees to the present day.
